About Jethro House Rwanda
Named after the Hebrew term meaning "overflowing, abundance, and excellence," we are a nonprofit organization committed to creating lasting, positive change for vulnerable children and families in rural Rwanda.
Currently, the organization assists 887 beneficiaries, including orphaned children, single mothers, impoverished parents, and individuals with disabilities in rural Rwanda.
Together with our partners, we build pathways to education and wellbeing—so every child has the opportunity to thrive.

In rural Rwanda, extreme poverty creates barriers that trap families in cycles of hardship. We exist to break these cycles and unlock potential in every community we serve.
The Challenge
In rural Rwanda, extreme poverty limits access to quality education—especially for orphans and children with disabilities. Without support, many remain trapped in a cycle of hardship.

Our Services
Six key programs working together to transform lives and build stronger communities across Rwanda.
Ishuri Project (Education Support)
Providing school fees, uniforms, shoes, and other necessary items for children. Supporting deaf children with specialized educational resources and organizing school events for local communities.
Solar Energy Initiative & Modern Housing
Building and remodeling homes for widows and their families. We have built 3 homes to date with plans for a fourth home in 2026, featuring modern amenities including electricity.
Women's Empowerment
Supporting single mothers and widows through comprehensive programs that provide housing, resources, and opportunities for independence and dignity.
Medical Insurance Coverage
Ensuring that all 887 beneficiaries have medical insurance coverage every year, providing access to essential healthcare services for families in need.
Financial Independence & Literacy
Promoting financial independence through small-scale projects and literacy programs to eradicate poverty as a long-term goal, including livestock support.
Spiritual & Sports Camps
Addressing physical and spiritual needs through camps and community events, including annual Christmas celebrations and back-to-school events for children.
